Benchmark Literacy Units

Benchmark Word Study is used for a consecutive two weeks and Flocabulary every third week. Students looking for a challenge can participate in Word Masters throughout the year. There are three lists of words and three Word Masters tests in October, January and April.
Students go to the media center every Wednesday afternoon and can check out
up to three books.
Students should be reading at home each night. Reading calendars can be turned in at the end of each month as documentation of your child's home reading. Please use the monthly calendars in the your child's planner to document minutes and sign the bottom of the page. Students who turn in their reading calendars during the year receive a reading medal at the Awards Ceremony in June.
