Welcome to the 2019 - 2020 School Year!
I am SO excited to join the 5th grade team at Woodland this year! This will be my 8th year teaching in the Osseo School District. I'm so excited to get to know the students, families, and staff that make Woodland the wonderful school that it is.
I have worked as a 4th and 5th grade teacher during the past eight years and am passionate about growing students in their academics and their character. I love learning about student's individual strengths, interests, challenges and passions. Learning more about each individual student helps me be the best educator I can be.
I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, in 2009, from the University of Minnesota Duluth (Go Bulldogs!). In 2017, I received my Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning from the College of Saint Mary's.
A little bit about me... I grew up in the Osseo School District and attended Elm Creek Elementary, Osseo Junior High, and graduated from Osseo Senior High School. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher and wanted to return to teach in this district. I started subbing and coaching volleyball in the district 10 years ago and still enjoy going to watch the high school games.
My husband and I got married 2 years ago and just recently bought a house this summer. I have enjoyed organizing and decorating our home to make it our own. Besides unpacking boxes, this summer has been full and busy. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and we were lucky enough to get in a few camping trips.
I am really looking forward to this Fall and starting another school year. We have a great team of teachers that are student focused and passionate about teaching. Feel free to contact me at any time with questions or updates!
